Privacy Policy
The short version
Try On has no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Your photos, your measurements and everything you try on are kept on your iPhone. To make a try-on picture, the app sends the item's picture and the photos of the person being dressed to an image service (OpenAI) through our server; neither our server nor this app keeps a copy anywhere else.
What stays on your iPhone
If you create your own model, the app keeps your three photos (front, side and back, with the background removed), your height and your body measurements on your iPhone, protected by iOS data protection. It also keeps the pictures of the items you add, the links you shared and the try-on results. Removing the background, checking your pose while you take the photos, estimating measurements and checking that a picture shows clothing all happen on your iPhone. You can delete your model in Settings at any time, delete single try-ons in the app, or delete everything by removing the app.
Camera
The camera is only used while you take the three photos for your own model. The live picture is checked on your iPhone to guide you into position and is not stored or sent anywhere; only the three photos you keep are saved, on your iPhone.
What is sent, and to whom
Shops. When you share or paste a product link, your iPhone opens that page itself, just like a browser would, to find the item's pictures and size chart. The shop sees an ordinary visit.
Size charts. Text from that product page (its title, description and size information) is sent to OpenAI to read the size chart, so the app can show how each size fits.
Try-on pictures. When you tap "Try on", the item's picture, the photos of the person being dressed (your own photos if you chose your model, otherwise the demo model's), the shop's name for the item and the fit to show are sent to OpenAI, and the finished picture is returned to your iPhone. The side and back views are only made, and only sent, when you open them.
Our server. These requests pass through the Try On server, which adds the credentials for OpenAI and applies fair-use limits. It does not store the pictures, the pages or the results. To apply daily limits it counts requests per install under a random identifier created by the app; those counts cover the current day only and are replaced every day. Its technical log records only the time, the kind of request, the result and how long it took.
OpenAI. OpenAI processes these requests to make the pictures and read the size charts, under its API terms and data usage policies (openai.com/policies), which state that data sent through its API is not used to train its models by default and may be kept for a limited time to detect abuse.
Children
Try On is not intended for children under 16.
Your rights
Because your photos and measurements are only stored on your iPhone, you control them directly: delete your model or the app and they are gone. Our server holds nothing that identifies you. For questions or requests about your data, write to info@tryonapp.nl.
